Well, we made it to Kentucky. We are about 20 miles south of Cincinnati staying at Oak Creek Campground in Walton, KY. This campground is only 3 miles from where the tornado hit yesterday. The lady at the office said she had all the campers in the office while they were under the threat. She said starting at the next exit tomorrow we will see all the damage. I-75 from here to Lexington was closed because of all the semi trailers that tipped over, but it is now opened. She didn't know how it was after that.
We started out in a little snow flurries and stopped for breakfast. As we got near Kzoo, we got into a near whiteout; but it didn't last long. Mostly a cloudy day but very windy. Carl had his worked cut out for him holding onto the steering wheel.
Just relaxing now after a little supper. It is suppose to go down in the 20's here tonight. Right now it is pretty comfy in here, but I think I will need to turn on the electric blanket--we are roughing it in style.
By the way, gas down here is running about $3.79.
