Homosassa Springs
Today we visited Homosassa Springs where we went to see the Manatees and all kinds of Florida wildlife and native plants. It was a beautiful place with a little over a mile boardwalk all around it.
To get us out to the area we had to ride on this boat both out and back. The boat ride was almost a half hour.
Here is picture of our captain. Notice anything different about him?
Here is Carl by the manatee statue. Couldn't believe how big they are. I didn't download all the pictures of the manatees, birds, flamingoes, ducks, egrets, herons, etc. that I took.
Carl is pointing out to Grinny some strange thing he spotted.
I was surprised about the bears here in Florida. We are used to seeing deer crossings at home, but they had a sign on the highway one for 13 miles. Then, near the high school was a sign to watch out for bear crossing.
Here is Jasper looking out the window, only wishing he could come out and sit on the step with Ranger Rex.
Taking it easy here tomorrow. Going shopping a bit in the morning and maybe a swim in the afternoon.
For Judi: I think I have the pot holder figured out. At least, it looks like it is coming out right.
Haven't found the yarn for the scarf, but brought my needles along just in case.

Tommy (Jasper) looked like he just woke up.
ReplyDeleteI should have sent the scarf yarn with you. I have a few skeins. I was wondering about Jasper, whether you took him or not...looks like a good time is being had by all. How are moms legs doing?
ReplyDeleteJudi, Haven't heard complain and she stopped the meds the day we left. She is doing alot of walking too and w/o her walker because she forgot to bring it. For long distance, she uses the scooter.
