Day 3 of the Rally

This morning Carl was in a horseshoe tournament. Below is some pictures I took of his first game. It was a double elimination tournament playing up to 15 points a game. He is how Carl did. Game 1, he lost--16-13. They were tied 13-13, then the other guy threw a ringer. Game 2, he won 16-0. That guy wasn't very good as you can figure out by the score. He was on his 2nd. elimination. He did get 4 points his first game. Game 3, Carl won 15-13. Game 4, he lost 16-14. They were again tied 14-14, but the other guy threw a 2 pointer. There are about 24 pits. They used every other one, but only 8 pits. They have a professional horseshoe league here.
For lunch we had homemade Texas chili, chicken noodle soup and cornbread. Also, salad, fruit, and dessert. And don't forget the "liquid refreshments."
Entertainment was The Rivoli RV Revue. The sang and told jokes that pertained to the RV life. They really were quite entertaining. And, of course, there was the "liquid refreshments" and popcorn.

Carl was pretty tired that night after throwing horseshoes in the sun. His last 2 games were after lunch and they started at 10 a.m. Those last 2 games were back to back too. His ankle was swollen after that and today is Easter and it still is. Been icing it and elevating it. He has had a cough now for the past week; however, it has gotten worse. Trying all kinds of stuff; like honey and Vicks and different cough meds. He just can't get rid of it. You hear down in his chest too. Today is Easter and he is all tired and wore out. Good thing we are staying here another week because he sure won't want to drive. Last night, just Mom and I went to the entertainment and he stayed back and rested. Will keep you posted on that.
