Extra Stuff

We were riding our bikes around the perimeter of the campground and they were doing a controlled fire by the trail parking lots.

They have a big celebration here in Tampa called Gasparilla. This past Saturday it was the kids festival. There were floats along the harbor on the boulevard and the water. It is all about pirates. That night on tv they had 25 minutes of one of the best fireworks I’ve seen, so I snapped a pic off the tv. This Saturday it is the adults turn called the Invasion of the Pirates. It’s a big deal here and we stay as far away as we can.

Last Couple Days at Hillsborough State Park

These photos are of a class 2 rapids. There are only two in Florida. This trail followed the Hillsborough River.

Two Days at the Florida Super RV Show

We thought we were only going for one day; but after we got home, we realized by looking on a map that missed an entire section and a vendor building. You get a two day pass so back we went. It tired us out. A guy offered us a golf cart ride up to the entrance and didn’t hestitate to accept.

The following are some pics I took of roaming entertainment throughout the fairgrounds.

I was going to take his pic and called Carl over.

There is a man in the bush. He walks around and stops in different places. He’ll talk to you.

First Week in Florida

First off all, I haven’t posted anything because I forgot to activate my Jetpack and campgrounds we were at didn’t have internet.

Great weather on the way down but cold after we got here. We stayed for three days in a nice place between Dade City and Zephyrhills.

We are now at Hillsborough River State Park. Got here last Tuesday, January 16 and leaving January 23. Another nice park. This park is in the woods with spacious sites. It has been full every night. For warmer weather, they have a large pool, many activities, and trails. One night it was below freezing here and one night it went down to 34. We kept nice and warm. Weather now changing for the better.
This is our site.

This is a vacant site.

Ready, Set, Go

We will be leaving tomorrow morning.  The temperature went up enough to melt most of the snow off the roof. Our neighbors are leaving too this weekend and will park where we are now out front.
See the neighbors rv in the background.
